Letter from New Student Teacher Victoria Lueck

Hello, my name is Victoria Lueck. I am student teaching with Shari Nordean from January 4, 2010, until March 26, 2010. I am coming from Bemidji State University. My major is Early Childhood Education, so my license will be Birth to Grade 3. It is not a very popular degree in Minnesota so don’t feel bad if you haven’t heard of it ( I am one of five Early Education Majors graduating this spring from BSU).

The reason I chose to student teach in Aitkin is because I am originally from Deerwood. I graduated from Crosby-Ironton School District in 2006. I really love this area and the small town schools. I also used to show horses in 4-H here in Aitkin so some of you may recognize me from that.

I would also just like to say thank you to everyone I have met so far, you have all been very helpful. I also look forward to meeting the rest of you and hope that I will be able to remember everyone’s names. I have only been inside of this school for a short time and I can already tell you that I really like the way that it flows and works. Thank you for inviting me to your school. ~ Vicki

We are a 655 student kindergarten through sixth grade school in central Minnesota. Aitkin, approximately 1,600 in population, is proud of its early Minnesota riverboat heritage.

Rippleside School is located on the banks of the Ripple River which flows into the mighty Mississippi River.
